Mandi: To provide entertainment at Mandi Shivratri Cultural Night Festival, the management has roped in Mumbai artists who will perform at the venue.
Gopal Chand, senior district administration official disclosed that Veni Dayal, Debojeet Shah, Aman Tareekha, Ritu Pathak, Yashita and Bhumi Tribedi are some of the artist who will perform at the festival.
Punjab artist Roshan Prince, comedian Suresh and Himachali folk singers are also scheduled to entertain the evening crowds.
It’s for the first time that the Shivratri festival management is inviting artists from outside for the cultural festival nights. The festival has been given an international status by the state government.
Despite opposition for local artists, cultural organisations, businessmen and residents, the district administration has decided to hold the cultural nights at Paddal ground.
The cultural evenings earlier used to be held at Seri Manch, but the district administration has declined to revert back to the old venue, much to the disappointment of the organisations opposed to shifting the event to Paddal grounds.
