New Delhi, June 19 (IANS) A scheduled meeting Wednesday between Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat and L.K. Advani was deferred after the BJP patriarch conveyed that he was “unwell”.
Advani was to meet Bhagwat, who played a key role in resolving the crisis in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after the party veteran resigned from key party posts a day after Narendra Modi was elevated as BJP campaign committee chief for the 2014 polls.
Sources said Advani conveyed to Bhagwat early Wednesday his inability to come for the meeting as he was unwell.
The sources said that the meeting is likely to take place Thursday.
Advani resigned from his posts in the parliamentary board, election committee and national executive after Modi’s elevation and relented only after Bhagwat advised him to withdraw his resignation.
BJP chief Rajnath Singh also assured Advani that his concerns about functioning of party will be addressed.
