Chennai, June 6 (IANS) Karunoday Singh shrugged off a first set loss to oust third seeded Vijayant Malik 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, to enter the semi-finals of the BR Adityan-GNC ITF Men’s Futures tennis tournament here Thursday.
Also advancing to the semi-finals were the top two seeds Sriram Balaji and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan while the fourth quarterfinal match between fourth seeded Toshihide Matsui and Prajnesh Gunneswaran was postponed to Friday morning due to inclement weather along with the two doubles semi-finals.

Singles: 1-N Sriram Balaji bt Fariz Mohammed 6-3,6-2; 8-Karunuday Singh bt 3-Vijayant Malik 4-6,6-3,6-2; 2-Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan bt 6-Vinayak Sharma Kaza 5-5 retd; 4-Toshihide Matsui (JPN) vs 7-Prajnesh Gunneswaran postponed due to rains.
