Milan, May 25 (IANS) Italian club Inter Milan announced that Walter Mazzarri has been appointed to replace Andrea Stramaccioni as head coach of the football team.
The official website of Inter announced the decision Friday and confirmed that a two-year contract has been signed with Mazzarri, reports Xinhua.
Inter president Massimo Moratti said he counts on Mazzarri’s experience to make the ‘Nerazzurri’ a better team next season.
“Sackings are never nice,” Moratti told the club website. “This change is due to the fact that we have had a tough year and I thought we needed a coach with the experience of Mazzarri.”
“That doesn’t diminish the fact that we rate Stramaccioni as a talented coach with potential and I’m sure he’ll become one of the best coaches in Italy.”
