Man, Class 12 student commit suicide in Delhi

New Delhi, April 17 (IANS) In two separate incidents, a 30-year-old man and a Class 12 student committed suicide by hanging themselves in the capital, police said Wednesday.

The body of Vishwajeet Sarkar was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his house in east Delhi’s Ganesh Nagar area Monday morning, a police officer said.

A suicide note has been found in which Sarkar has stated that he was depressed due to a family dispute. He is survived by wife and a five-year-old daughter.

In the second incident, Shivani, 18, a Class 12 student in a government school, committed suicide at her house in east Delhi’s Shakarpur area Tuesday night. Shivani’s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan by her father.
