Abuja, April 6 (IANS) At least 60 people were killed when a luxury bus, a truck and a fuel-laden tanker collided in Nigeria, officials said.
The accident occurred Friday on Benin-Ore road located in southern Nigeria, according to rescue officials and officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).
The truck, luxury bus and fuel-laden tanker went up in flames after the collision on the busy road, causing the multiple deaths, reported Xinhua citing rescue officials.
One official said more than 60 people were burnt in the incident.
“The fire spread to a workshop in the area and eight more vehicles undergoing repairs were burnt,” a source said.
