Aam Admi Kejriwal raises hope with AAP party

Aam Admi Party (AAP) with aam admi persona of Arvind Kejriwal as it convener is finally here to make a difference in the chaotic political system of India. Launched amidst a modest press setting in the national capital, the political alternative to Anna Hazare‘s anti-corruption campaign visions to bring middle class to the fore.

There’s a lot to admire in the anti-corruption crusader Arvind Kejriwal. He burns with passion to bring about a revolution. His idealism is somewhat rare to find in Indian politics – a reason millions of hearts exercise a veto over the head with regard to the Aam Admi party.

Anna may have been the face of India Against Corruption, but Kejriwal was the brain trust – the man who took it upon himself to unveil one political idol after another.

He has taken BJP party president Nitin Gadkari head on over corruption just as he has blown the lid of Congress Party president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra dubious deals with realty major DLF.

In his fight to cleanse the system, he has been unsparing towards any political personality or party that is tainted.

Admittedly there are a very few familiar faces in the Kejriwal’s new political outfit, but AAP may have a lesson to learn from Raj Thackeray and his political outfit, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

Raj could have formed a party right after he split with Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray but he was careful in chalking out what he needed to do with a party.

Backed by a considerable following for almost a year before launching the new party, today six years down the line there is no doubt that MNS is the party of the new era in Maharashtra.

It’s worth seeing how the likes of Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan can mobilize the massive fan following they have (in form of restless youth and middle class) in the fight against corruption, for their ambitious plans of a systemic change in corrupt political establishment of the country.

Shanti Bhushan, father of Prashant Bhushan donated Rs 1 crore to the Aam Admi party initiative and said “Parliament will have common people after the 2014 general elections, and that they would decide their fate from now on.”

Early moves of the Aam Admi Party with significance of AAP – for you – attempts to grab attention as a new nationalistic and patriotic party, but its inner dealings remain unclear.

The core team of the party may have low profile anti-corruption activists rigorously involved since the Jan Lokpal Bill campaign or the anti-corruption campaigns of the IAC, however, the 23 member national executive elected by the party’s under its own constitution includes only two women and is devoid of any representative from South or East India.

With an objective to make its maiden electoral sortie in next year’s Delhi elections, Kejriwal and party admit to bring about a balance in the gender and representation imbalance soon. They also intend to involve youth and minorities.

It is too early to be judgmental about the way Aam Admi Party will transcend in days ahead, but given that the newly launched party’s promise to bring transparency in politics; we are in for something more than words – for a change after all!

aap gives a sense of belonging to every one and will make a difference .what is wrong with the people to trust the people who have generated so much awareness about corruption by maintaining their integrity in public life and also made big guns of corporate sector and political class to hide their faces before the general public whether i.e be Wadera,Ghatkari,Salman Khurshid ,Ambanis etc. This will be possible only through action by excercising the franchise in a free and fair manner otherwise things will move on as usual.

  8. I agree that AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) is a welcome step on Indian political landscape. AAP has the potential to fulfill the aspirations of the common people. Look at the established national parties as well as several of the regional parties (INC, BJP, Mulayams, Mayawatis, DMK, Chautalas, etc)- they all smack of centralization of power and family affairs!

I dont see the AAP party’s member and Anna Hazare’s remarks on the brutality of rape in Delhi. Is it not the social/public cause which required to be addressed by these memebrs in addition well addressed issues raised by them.

What is going on? their souls might have been weeping for the time one is ashamed of…………
