The state capital Shimla was hit by strong winds and thunder showers along with light hail in the afternoon .

The showers have finally cleaned some of the heavy dust settled on Shimla’s roads . The dust was dumped here by the authorities in January when the heavy snow fell .

The civic authorities and the district administration didn’t bother to even sweep many of the roads covered in a thick layer of dust during the past almost two months .

The maximum temperature recorded in Shimla was 16 C . While Kalpa headquarters of Kinnaur recorded 6.6 C.
