Shimla : Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has doubled broadband bandwidth speeds in Himachal Pradesh with immediate effect , a senior company official said Friday .
Post paid customers who have plans 299 , 499 , 625 , 750 , 850 and plan 900 will all benefit from this .
Unlimited 499 plan will now get 4 GB downloading at 512 kbps instead of 256 kbps .
While plan 850 will have 8 GB high speed downloading facility .The popular 750 plan will provide 6 G B downloading at higher speeds .
“The higher speeds will benefit thousands of broadband customers , this facility is for both existing and new customers ,†said Prem Singh , general manager BSNL Shimla wing .

I have got a new BB unlimited 499/-plan, but i surprise to read on net that downloadinb is limited upto 4 Gb under this plan please explain than what does it mean of unlimited plan.
It means that upto 4gb data usage speed will be 512 KBPS and after that speed will be reduced to non BB speed
What the hell you think your self i have broadband with 499 plan…and it is perfoming only 256kbps only……and you people told me that the speed is 100mbps…!!! I want you to take strict action…!
