An FIR was registered on July 1 at Police Station SV&ACB Shimla on the complaint that Karam Chand, JE, HPSEB Shimla was demanding a bribe of Rs. 2,000- to grant permission for welding work in the house of the complainant.
During investigation of the case the Karam Chand was caught while accepting the bribe of Rs. 2,000/- from the complainant by Vigilance Bureau team led by Inspector Surender Thakur
Karam Chand has been arrested while trying to run away on seeing the Vigilance Team after receiving the bribe. Further investigation of the case is in progress, Anurag Garg IG Vigilance said.
