Dr Puri belong to Nadaun in Himachal and is an associate professor at Nuclear Physics at Punjab University, Chandigarh.
Dr Puri, a post doctorate from Germany and France is double national award holder and has published more than 300 research papers.
He is also a standing referee for world top ranked journals of American Physical Society.
Recently he was awarded a research project by French Government.
