Congress asks Anurag to tender apology

Shimla: Congress today asked newly appointed BJP youth wing chief Anurag Thakur to tender an unconditional apology to the family of slain Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, who was killed by Maoists in Chattisgarh, as it was improper of him to celebrate his appointment just 2 Kms away from where the funeral was taking place.

At a media briefing, party spokesman Kuldeep Rathore said, “Anurag Thakur is feigning ignorance about the funeral of a CRPF jawan, who was gunned down by Maoists in Chattisgarh, taking place at Sanot village in Kangra while BJP was celebrating Thakur’s first visit to the state after being made BJP youth chief in the vicinity.”

In and around Sanot village, the residents were acutely aware about the tragic death of Pankaj Bhadiyal, the CRPF jawan. How come BJP and Anurag did not get to know, he said?

The BJP youth chief needs to apologize to the family of the slain martyr and the people, said Rathore.

BJP has been on the defensive ever since reports surfaced that BJP was caught celebrating the appointment of Anurag Thakur at Dehra, while at a nearby village the funeral was taking place. Bhadiyal was among the 27 security personnel killed by Maoists.

Satyapal Jain, BJP incharge for Himachal her on Saturday had regretted the incident saying, “it could have been avoided.”

I am realy shocked that M Anurag Thakur an all india youth cheif has celebrate the function at Dehra instead of attending the funeral of Mr Bhadiyal a CRPF Jawan. He is just 27 years old. He should have really appolozise from the martyre family and should compensate them accoding to his death.

Jawans are for the nation not for the party.
Party should not bring politics to the surface by celebration at the time of the funeral of the Jawan. It is very sad thinking of celebration at that time. Only insane people in the pack of party came out and does such things.
