Himachal Congress guns for media advisor, official, over sex racket

Shimla: Scent of a sex scandal had the congress gunning for an official and the media advisor to the government, demanding immediate removal of the two, besides holding of an impartial CBI inquiry into the incident.

Kuldeep Rathore, congress spokesman, speaking to the media held that the government was trying to cover up an alleged sex racket in which a politician, a businessman and an official were allegedly found in the company of call girls by the police recently at a local hotel.

He said that since the state police was working under pressure from the government, only an inquiry by a central agency like CBI would get to bottom of the cover up being attempted.

Rathore pointed out that name of media advisor Rajinder Rana and a senior official had allegedly cropped up in the call girl racket that the district police along with vigilance officials had stumbled upon in a mid-night raid at an hotel in the city.

The media advisor should be asked to demit office and the official alleged to be involved should be put under suspension, said Rathor, till a CBI inquiry comes up with its findings.

A businessman’s involvement in the racket smacked of fishy wheeling-dealing going on, he said.

Responding to a question, the congress spokesman said, when aspersions were cast about the presence of a congress minister at a party in Dharmshala, in the last government, he was asked to resign immediately.

Meanwhile Narinder Thakur, the congress Lok Sabha candidate from Hamirpur who lost the election to Anurag Thakur of BJP, at a conference call has asked the government to disclose the names of the big wigs involved in the incident. Congress would be forced to take the issue to the people, otherwise, he said.

Throw away this PK Dhumal and his close Rajinder Rana out off the state, these people are in politics for making money. They first sidelined some of the senior and true party men and now doing all this stuff.

    Shame on Dhumal

Courageous report. I wonder why the entire media of state shied away from writing the name of this politician when opponents are telling it loudly.

Why the name and the designation of the said senior officer not being disclosed by the media? Is he above the law?
