Dr. Rajiv Bindal, the Health Minister in a review meet of Health Department announced that as per directions from Prem Kumar Dhumal, the Chief Minister of Himachal, Kamla Nehru Hospital, one of the prime hospitals at Shimla would be shifted to IGMC Complex, Shimla.
Dr. Bindal said that the shifting of Kamla Nehru Hospital to IGMC would go a long way in providing medical services to patients under one roof, besides evading many inconveniences they had to face for various medical and lab tests etc. He said that the office of Chief Medical Officer Dean Dayal Updhayay Hospital, Shimla would also be shifted to IGMC.
He further stated that work on the construction of new building meant for B-Pharmacy course in Ayurveda would soon be started so that the classes for the course could be commenced at the earliest.
