It was disclosed here today that the state government is providing scholarships to students belonging to IRDP category.
An annual scholarship of Rs.150 per student was being provided up to 5th standard under the scheme. Rs. 250 was being provided to boys up to 8th standard whereas an amount of Rs. 500 per student was being provided to girls from 6th to 8th standards. The scholarship is being provided to students of those IRDP families whose annual income is not more than Rs.11000 per annum. Eligible students could apply for availing the scholarship through the Heads of their schools to Deputy Director, Elementary Education of the concerned district alongwith Himachali certificate, IRDP certificate issued by concerned B.D.O.
