The Chief Minister, P.K. Dhumal stated that the renowned Kangra Painting art would be revived and promoted while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the ‘Strokes of Kangra’, an exhibition of Kangra miniature paintings organized by Kangra Arts Promotion Society, Dharamshala in collaboration with the Department of Language, Art and Culture, Himachal Pradesh.
Emphasizing on the need for public private participation in promotion of such artistic pursuits, he said that in the age of global competition, the state government is committed to promote, preserve and conserve the rich tradition and heritage be it through arts or craft. He also launched the website on Kangra Painting art later on.
