State’s Khadi and Gramudyog industries to be empowered-Dhumal

Stressing upon the need of escalation of the State Khadi and Gramudyog Board, Prem Kumar Dhumal, the Chief Minister said that the main objectives of constituting the board was to breed more employment opportunities at village level, create quality goods which could lead to economic prosperity.

He said that the handicraft industry and other small industrial units need to be encouraged and cooperated so as to bring a revolution in rural areas. Such an effort would benefit in long term and bring self-reliance, he added.

It is worth mentioning that 734 projects worth 4213 lacs have been sent to various banks where in 845 lacs have been released for execution of 547 projects.
