KUMARHATTI: To promote quality education availability in border industrial corridor, the Himachal Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) is planning to set up an education hub at Kallujhanda near Baddi.
Well placed sources reveal, under project the bids have already been invited for setting up the educational institutions in education hub that will be spread over an area of 55 hectares. Sources say only those institutions have been invited who are desirous of setting up of educational institution of excellence with an eye for creativity and vision for future education
The idea to set up education hub has been formed to tap the recent massive industrialization in border belts of Paonta Sahib, Kala-Amb, Parwanoo, Barotiwala, Baddi, Nalagarh, Mehatpur, Tahliwal & Gagret. These areas have been developed as one of the most rapidly developing industrial belt of state.
The hub will endeavour to meet investors’ dreams and needs as well as to attract top class international educational “institutes of excellence†in the field of primary & secondary education, science, engineering, technology, IT, medicine, bio-technology etc. for higher learning, to open their campuses.
To intercept brainy youth of country, and mould them in the framework of trade, commerce, IT., science, engineering, technology, medicine, bio-technology etc. so as to address the needs of India’s growing economy on the one hand, and to generate employment opportunities on the other. In order to keep pace with modern technologies and accommodate growing needs of professionals need was felt to reinforce the development of the belt by equipping the area with a state of art education hub having all type of educational institutions.
The education hub will have top class infrastructure and support services which may be developed by HIMUDA or by short listed institutions as mutually agreed so as to provide atmosphere for top class. The educational institutes of the world to open their campuses here and to introduce cutting edge/frontier technologies devoted to research in the emerging areas of learning. This is an endeavor to explore and invite the best of talent in the post globalization era, so that the education hub becomes the seat of learning which may be comparable to the best in the world.
