The first Mandi Summer festival is going to start on 1st June and would continue for 10 days. “Dainik Bhaskar” Group is organizing this fair. The organizer has started building structure for shops etc. The town is known for it’s ancient temples and International Shivratri Fair.
This is going to be held very first time in the history of Mandi town. Authorities are marketing this fair as “Summer Fair”.
This summer fair will support and promote artists and the arts in Mandi. The organization’s activities include: exhibitions, art activities and many entertainment activities for children.
As per as Shivratri Fair is concerned the week long festival is held in the ancient temple of Mandi . Elaborately decorated palanquins bear hundreds of local deities to the town. Folk musicians lead colorful processions, which first
stop at Madhorai temple and then at the Bhutnath temple to pay homage to Lord Shiva. The celebrations include festive music and song, dance and drama.
