CM, Virbhadra Singh extended Holi greetings to the people of the State, especially to the people of district Hamirpur and Sujanpur Tihra, where the festival was being celebrated.
He announced opening up of an Industrial Training Institute at Sujanpur Tihra to facilitate youth to take up vocational courses for exploring employment and self- employment ventures, in Government and Private sectors. He assured the people that adequate funds would be made available for the construction of new Community Health Centre which had been upgraded as the First Referral Unit at Sujanpur Tihra and said that construction would be completed within the next financial year.
He also expressed satisfaction that the traditional fairs and festivals of the State were being organized in a most befitting manner and added that people of the State were aware of their rich cultural heritage and had been actively participating in all the fairs and festivals thereby upholding their traditional sanctity. He said that every individual needed to contribute significantly towards the preservation and promotion of the rich cultural heritage of the State.

Earlier, Chief Minister also went around the exhibition stalls put up by various Government departments, NGOs and other organizations. He witnessed the final of the wrestling bouts and awarded â€œGurjâ€ and cash award of Rs.5100 to winner, Shri Jagdish Kumar of Bilaspur and Rs.3100 to runner-up Shri Achar Singh of Amritsar.
