Himachal Fruit Wine to be tourist attraction in Goa

Shri C.R.B. Lalit, Managing Director, HPMC said at New Delhi today that popular Himachal fruit wines like Apple wine, Plum wine and Pear wine will be star attractions for foreign tourists in new year eve parties in Goa this year.

Shri C.R. B. Lalit said that a Memorandum of Understanding had been reached between State owned HPMC and Goa State Horticulture Corporation Ltd., Panaji under which all Himachali products like apple juices, jams, jellys, apple wine, plum wine and pear wine etc. will be sold by Goa State Horticulture Corporation Ltd. in the State of Goa through its 200 outlets and infrastructure set up at all the importance tourists resorts in near future.

He said that HPMC will extend its cooperation and also sell Goa products like Cashew, Coconut, Copra, Cocum etc. under the brand name of HPMC in Himachal Pradesh and throughout the country through its strong network of 400 outlets spread through apple juice bars set up in various states across the country. He said that the Himachal Government will issue license to Goa for selling its wine products in the State shortly and Goa Government had already agreed to sell the Himachali fruit wines in State keeping in view the growing demand of the product in Goa.

He said that it had been agreed that the Himachali products will be made available in Panaji while the Goan products will be made available at Parwanoo by the respective parties for sale through their network.
