Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister, today paid a courtesy call to the President of Afghanistan, Shri Hamid Karzai, who is on two days visit to the State.
Chief Minister welcomed the President to Himachal Pradesh and thanked him for visiting the State whenever he find time to do so. He said that the people of the State, especially of Shimla town and HP University were indebted for his having special attachment with the town for being old student of the University. He extended him warm welcome and requested him to maintain the tradition of visiting Shimla in future as well.
Shri Hamid Karzai, shared his student days experiences with the Chief Minister and said that he always longed to visit the town and meet his old friends to revive the old memories of the time he spent in Shimla. He assured the Chief Minister of visiting Shimla in future as well and in return invited him to visit Afghanistan.
