New Delhi: Hamirpur constituency MP Anurag Thakur today came down heavily on the Congress party for having left a “legacy of price rise” and now “feigning pain” for the people after being thrown out of power.
Still smarting from the severe drubbing the party got in the Lok Sabha poll and unable to blame the rain for the electoral reverses, state Congress leaders having been playing the blame game for over a month, unsure about where the buck stops.
Opposition BJP here lamb blasted chief minister Virbhadra Singh for first having filed a false defamation case and then unilaterally withdrawing it.
“As chairman of the team that framed the Congress charge sheet, we had documented several issues of commission and omission done by the then BJP government, but by only taking up HPCA cases for investigation, the other issues were facing neglect,” said Bali.
“The defamation case against Arun Jaitely stands withdrawn,” Virbhadra told reporters on yesterday. He added that he did not wish to press the issue now that Jaitely is the country’s finance minister and the state government had to interact with the union ministry about important financial matters concerning the state.
Threatened by an imminent mid-term poll call from opposition leader Prem Kumar Dhumal, congress ministers came out with blazing guns questioning the authority he held to meddle in the state affairs where a majority government was being led by chief minister Virbhadra Singh.
Modi has reawakened and united a Hindu psyche that had somehow, by some twisted political logic, been bludgeoned into a state of self reproach and self-denial by mercenary politicians , an effete, English speaking, ersatz liberal intelligentsia and secular fundamentalists.
