The ED has acted just 3 days after the Delhi High Court dismissed an appeal by Mr Virbhadra Singh for quashing of an FIR by CBI about amassing assets more than the known sources of income.

CBI moved swiftly and soon after the court dismissed the appeal, the investigating agency that very day filed a charge sheet before a special court about Virbhadra Singh having allegedly amassed Rs 10.3 crore of assets more than his known sources of income.

The 82 year six time chief minister has dismissed the swift action by CBI and other central agencies as, ‘“t is political vendetta, will face the case.”

The congress party is standing by Virbhadra Singh. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, a senior congress leader said “Virbhadra Singh would remain in position since the CBI chargesheet was framed out of political vendetta. There is nothing to worry about.”
