Himachal clears 28 investment proposals

Shimla:  A high powered committee chaired by chief minister Virbhadra Singh today cleared investment proposals of Hindustan Salts, Indian Oil-Adani Gas and 26 other new and expansion projects that placed before a single window clearance authority.

Among the new  proposals approved at the meet were an investment project of Rs 230 crore by Hindustan Salts Ltd. for setting up of sSalt, Solution Mining unit in Mandi district.

Others proposals cleared include one by Shivani Convenience Foods Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai with plans to invest Rs. 68.77 Crores, Auro Dyeing, (a unit of Vardhman Textiles Limited) has proposed to invest Rs. 76.15 crores and one by Indian Oil-Adani Gas Pvt. Ltd., who have proposed to invest Rs. 26.56 Cores for laying of a natural gas steel pipeline.

Among the expansion, diversification and revised proposals approved were that of Super Hoze Industries Pvt. Ltd., who have proposed to invest Rs. 21.45 Crores; Pritika Autocast Limited, who has proposed to invest Rs. 40.59 Crores for manufacture of Automotive & Tractor Parts; M/s Innova Captab Pvt. Ltd. (Formerly known as Harun Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.), who has proposed to invest Rs. 47.73 Croes for manufacture of Pharmaceutical Formulations; Torrent Pharmaceutical Ltd., who has proposed to invest Rs. 52.34 Crores for manufacture of Tablets and Capsules; Dr. Reddys Laboratories Ltd. Unit-II, has proposed to invest Rs. 57.93 Croes for manufacture of Pharmaceutical Formulations; and Premier Alcobev Private Limited,  has proposed to invest Rs. 35.00  crores.

Of the total investment proposals amounting to Rs 968 crore, the new investment proposed is of about Rs 452 crore and the rest is for expansion and diversification projects, said a spokesman of the industry department.

Besides the chief minister, industries minister Mukesh Agnihotri, chief secretary P. Mitra, senior secretaries V.C. Pharka, Dr. Shrikant Baldi, R.D. Dhiman and adviser Rajinder Chauhan among others, were present in the meeting.
