Uttarakhand goes for tax free 2015-16 budget

Dehradun: Based on an annual state revenue projection of Rs 9670.30 crore and state share of central taxes devolution of Rs 5526.08 crore, finance minister Indira Hiryadesh presented a budget of Rs 32,310.07 crore for 2015-16 yesterday (16.3.2015).

The finance minister did not propose to levy any fresh taxes. She said the budgetary allocation were made after having taken into consideration the withdrawal of several centrally funded schemes.
