Shimla: Failing to attract new industrial investments, a high powered single window clearance authority today approved four expansion proposals and asked concerned departments to check out enhancement capability of a 2 million ton per annum (MTPA) capacity cement plant of Jaypee Cement.
Presided over by chief minister Virbhadra Singh, the state level single window clearance authority after examining Jaypee Himachal Cement proposal for enhancing the clinker making capacity at Baga village unit I plant from 2.05 MTPA to 3.5 MTPA directed the industry department to check the production capacity and other details.
The authority granted approval to M/s Johnson & Johnson Ltd for investing another Rs 36.63 Cr on expansion proposal with an existing unit.
M/s Triupaty Medicare Ltd. proposal to invest Rs 30.83 crore, M/s Shri Parvati Steel & Allays Ltd. plans to invest Rs 10.10 crore and relocation of unit by M/s Newport Spirits Pvt. Ltd. from village Bajhoul district Solan to Baddi Industrial area of Solan district were also approved by the high powered authority.
The re-located unit of M/s Newport Spirits at Baddi would entail an investment of Rs 86 lakhs, said a spokesman for the industry department.
