Spanish designers have strong presence at Berlin Fashion Week

Berlin, July 4 (IANS/EFE) Nearly 50 Spanish companies will present their creations for the spring/summer season at Berlin Fashion Week.

Coolway, Desigual, Pepe Jeans London and Ginger+Soul are among the Spanish firms taking part in the fashion event.

The Premium fair, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year as a gathering place for specialized creations, will showcase more than 900 companies from around the world, including 21 from Spain, at Berlin’s Gleisdreieck station.

Mint and Rose, Pretty Ballerinas, Susuu, Ursula Mascaro and A.Leyva are participating in Premium for the first time, while Custo Barcelona, Ecoalf and Vilagallo are returning.

The Seek fair, which specializes in young, progressive and authentic brands, will be attended by Spanish brand I love sophie.

Slowers, meanwhile, is the only Spanish design house taking part in the Ethical Fashion Show, an event to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly designs.

A total of 2,500 firms will present their latest collections at the 13th Berlin Fashion Week, which ends Friday and is expected to draw 250,000 visitors.
