Jalandhar: President Pranab Mukherjee is scheduled to preside over as chief guest at the 3rd Annual Convocation of Lovely Professional University to be held on 20 May.
“On the occasion he would also deliver the convocation address,” said a university spokesman.
Degrees and gold medals would be awarded to all regular and distance education pass out students for the 2012 batch at the annual convocation.
Lovely Professional University recognizes academic excellence of their students by bestowing gold medals. Such students will receive the Gold medal and Degree from the First Citizen of India, said a spokesman.
All graduates are to be awarded degrees and students of diploma programs will be given their certificates, he added.
A day before (19 May) the university authorities are to hold a rehearsal. “Medal winners, who do not attend rehearsal, will not be given medals on the stage, said an spokesman of the institute.
