Sub-junior hockey: Odisha to face Jharkhand in final

New Delhi, April 7 (IANS) Odisha will play Jharkhand in the finals of the sub-junior Boys Hockey National Championship in Nagaon, Assam, Monday.

In the second semi-final Sunday, Odisha defeated Manipur 8-1. Leading 3-0 at half-time, Odisha scored through Amit Chirmako (8th minute, 19, 48, 52); Ashwin Kujur (33, 69); Suman Beck (65) and Suraj Minz (66).

Odisha looked the better drilled outfit with a lot of character and composure while Manipur committed far too many errors that put them on the defensive for the better part of the match.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand will play Odisha in the sub-junior girls final Monday.
