Special exhibition held to honour Virbhadra Singh in HP Vidhan Sabha

Shimla: An exhibition titled “Remarkable contributions of Shri Virbhadra Singh in three decades” was organized in the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha here today.

The exhibition was organized in order to mark the 30-years of association of Chief Minister Sh. Virbhadra Singh with the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.

The veteran Congress leader showed keen interest in the exhibition, which displayed his memorable moments of last three decades.

Speaking on the occasion, the seasoned Congress leader full of praise for the rate at which Himachal Pradesh has developed over the years. He mentioned that the state has made notable progress in education, roads, health, hydro power, agriculture and horticulture.

He also added that it was the result of pro-people governance by the successive Congress governments in the past that Himachal Pradesh has reached such heights of progress in every sector.

The Chief Minister said that present Congress government is greatly inclined to further advance the economic activities and elevate the socio-economic status of the people in the State.

To mark the occasion, Department of Information and Public Relations screened a documentary titled ‘ Himalaya Ka Karmyogi: Virbhadra Singh.’ A ‘ Photo Exhibition’ was also inaugurated by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sh. B.B.L. Butail.

Vidhan Sabha Class-III Employees Association President, Shri Jitender Singh Kanwar and other association members felicitated Chief Minister on the special occasion attended by many dignitaries in the Vidhan Sabha.
