Madhya Pradesh beat Mumbai 16-0 in sub-junior women’s hockey

Mumbai, April 13 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy defeated hosts Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd. 16-0 in their Pool A game of the Hockey India Sub-Junior Women’s National Championship (West Zone) played at the Mahindra Stadium Saturday.

In the third win registered by Madhya Pradesh, Preet Dubey scored four goals followed by Suman Devi (3), Jyoti Pal (2), Karishma Yadav (2), Rakhi Prajapati (2), Neelu Dadiya (1), Brajnandini Dhuriya (1) and Neha Singh (1).

In another Pool A match, Hockey Maharashtra beat Hockey Bhopal 8-0 while in Pool B, Chhattisgarh defeated Goa 8-0.

Pool A: Madhya Pradesh 16 (Neelu Dadiya 4, Jyoti Pal 15, 17, Preet Dubey 19, 20, 31, 44, Karishma Yadav 27, 42, Suman Devi 30, 50, 55, Brajnandini Dhuriya 39, Rakhi Prajapati 48, 69 and Neha Singh 69) beat Mumbai 0.

Maharashtra 8 (Siyona Rohekar 26, 39, Own Goal 48, Mohini Alawa 55, Alaknanda Bagadi 57, 60, Bhavana Khade 66 and Ankita Sapate 68) beat Bhopal 0.

Pool B: Chhattisgarh 8 (Iswari Dewangan 3, Nisha Nagvanshi 12, Own Goal 15, Tripti Sen 19, Rusali Kashyap 40, 65, 68 and Own Goal 43) beat Goa 0.
