Shimla: Two persons were killed and another five injured when the vehicle they were travelling in lost control and went off the hill road to roll into the valley late yesterday.
The vehicle (HP-10B-6789) was travelling from Chaila to Theog, when the accident occurred at about 7.30 p.m. said Dola Ram, the investigating policemen in the accident case.
After carrying out the rescue and relief operation, one of the accident victims died at Theog hospital and another at Shimla IGMC hospital.
There were 7 passengers, all males, in the vehicle when the accident occurred.
The injured are being treated at IGMC hospital.
Police believe rash and negligent driving to be the cause of the accident and a case has been registered against driver Ramesh to the effect.
