Himachal celebrates 63rd Republic day


Shimla
: On a bright but chilly day Himachal Pradesh celebrated Republic Day in all twelve districts of the hill state Thursday .

Governor Urmila Singh unfurled the national flag at the main function at Shimla’s Ridge here.

The governor took salute at an impressive parade by contingents of police, ITBP, home guards, army, NCC and others .

Chief Minister P.K.Dhumal his cabinet colleagues and top officials were present at the function .

In freezing Keylong, Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Shankar presided over the official function. Locals turned up in heavy woollens for the show .

While Shimla recorded 2 degrees Celsius. In tribal districts of Kinnaur and Lahaul & Spiti bone chilling conditions continue to prevail .

It was minus 11.7 C at Keylong, minus 4.1 C Kalpa and minus 1.8 in the popular tourist resort of Manali.

    what about the arrears of the employees withheld since,Pay commision,I am sure the Fixed Deposit must have been matured by now????Its a great pain to know that these people are thinking the the people of HImachal dont understand what they did with the arrears they received from Centre on pretext of payment to the Employees.
    what a shame.
