Five killed as car plunges into icy Ravi

Shimla : Five people died when a car skidded of an icy road in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district and rolled into the Ravi river late Monday , police said .
The incident took place at a remote spot on the winding and mountainous Chamba-Bharmaur road some 500 km from here .
The dead include two brothers and two women . All were locals .
Villagers spotted the accident and helped the police fish out the bodies from the icy Ravi river in the dark .
Five people were killed over the weekend (in another accident) when a car skidded of an icy road and rolled down a hill in the state capital Shimla .
Due to heavy snowfall and extreme cold many roads are frozen across Himachal Pradesh making it hard to drive .
