Kufri in Himachal wears snow-cloak

Hill station Kufri is bearing white looks recording 20 cms snow till now. Trees in forest are drooping with snow . Roads and fields are wearing white mantle offering good feast to the tourists’ eyes.
This is season’s first snowfall as Christmas and New Year eluded all.With the news of the snow spreading around tourists begin to throngs to this hill spot. They are all enjoying playing with this white gold . Some of them having a date with snow first time in their life.
A youth from Hissar in Haryana shares his experiece saying, “ I never saw clouds powdering white beautiful flakes from the sky. What a magical scene? It is a mystical experiece for me . This visit to snow-clad Kufri have been very fruitful for me and I have been waiting for this occasion for the last five daysâ€.
Tourists are doing snow-walks and horse-riding in this tranquil surroundings. Many of them are busy capturing these unique movemetns of their life in their cameras to relive these memories.
“ We videographed ourselves Horse-riding in the snow and sent the the clip to our relatives in Delhi and it was so alluring that they too have decided to reach here tomorrow to enjoy this feel good –factorâ€, says Shilpi, a tourist from Delhi.
Weather looks far wintrier and locals in Kufri are waiting for a big snow accumulation to start skiing for the tourists.
“If snow settles more then a foot on the ground , we will start skiing for the tourist at Mahasu Peak.It is a good snow sports and gives us good returns.Snow is a white gold for the tourism industry in the stateâ€, says Dev Raj Kashyap, a skier from Kufri.
Kufri is a small village town on National Highway-22, 16 Kms far from Shimla. This hill town is located at the height of 9000 feet with sub zero temperature nowadays.
