Shimla : Locals and tourists are relishing the warm sunshine and not so cold nights in this popular tourist destination among other hill stations across Himachal Pradesh for the past few days.
On Sunday the mercury rose to a pleasant 20.9 C around 8 degrees above normal , while the minimum was 8 C which is 4 notches above normal .
In Manali another popular resort town it was also pleasant at 17.4 C although it was chilly night at 1.6 C .
It was sunny and warm even the tribal towns of Kalpa and Keylong where the mercury on Sunday rose to 18.6 C and 11 C respectively .
The weather man has forecast snow or rain at one or two places in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal in the next 48 hours but will remain largely dry over much of these two hill states .
