An FIR was registered on 1st July, 2011 at Police Station State Vigilance & Anti Corruption Bureau Shimla on the complaint that Pankaj Kapur, XEN HPPWD Electrical was allegedly demanding a bribe (commission) of Rs. 35,000/- to award works.
A trap was laid Pankaj Kapur was caught red handed from his office at Kasumpti, Shimla while accepting the bribe of Rs. 35,000/- from the complainant by Vigilance Bureau team led by Inspector Raghubir Singh.
Kapur has been arrested and further investigation of the case is in progress, Anurag Garg, IG Vigilance said.
