Shimla: Credent Organics on Sunday marked its foray into Himachal by opening its first retail store at Una. The group is involved in promoting organic farming and sells organic fertilizers, pesticides and other farm supplements.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajan Balighate director commercial said there was an urgent need to correct agriculture management by using bio-safe organic products.
The company has also appointed Krishna Organics as the distributor of organic products for the state, he added.
Organic farming would be encouraged, said Balighate, through setting up of farm development centers, which would demonstrate the productivity benefits of using organic inputs in farm operations. “ So far we have set up 120 fram development centers in the state, he said.
