Mild earthquake rocks Himachal

Shimla: An earthquake of mild intensity hit Himachal Pradesh at 12.55 p.m. today, tremors of which were felt by many both in urban and rural areas.
Measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale, the quake had its epicenter at 31.2 degree North latitude and 78 degree East longitude, Manmohan Singh, director meteorological station Shimla stated.
The epicenter was at a depth of 9 Km below the surface and at distance of 8 Km from a place called Khasdhar in Shimla district. No loss of life or property was reported.
