Distant educational institutions without a website is beyond imagination in any part of the world. Though very late, the launch is a welcome step. I just explored the site and have two main comments about site.
1) It would have been better if the site could be developed by top institutions’ own human resource. There is no meaning to outsource such a basic work. How can universities earn through consultancy when they themselves rely on others for such a basic work.
2) People visiting the web pages of any institutions of research and learning are always interested in the work of its faculty. Esteemed faculty must mention there contribution to the knowledge. For satisfying the basic human desire for recognition, and develop competition and a work culture in government backed institutions this brings better results than the other methods.
I hope that the head somewhere understand my point and do the needful without constituting more committees.
Rivesh it is a classic case of the left hand not knowing what the right one is doing.
The state’s much acclaimed university has an equally reputed University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT) located on campus.
Surely there are talented students in this IT institute and why can’t inhouse talent be used to showcase their knowledge skills by simply designing the website of the university and its associate institutions.
Charity begins at home and if ICDEOL has belatedly woken up to the need for having a website – then surely the layout could have been an show window of in house talent.
iam ex-student of this university and iam searching my result 1998-2000 batch but i could’t get that so for me it is a useless site.
