Himachal Cabinet recommends budget session from 2nd March

Shimla: Presided over by chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, the Himachal cabinet today recommended convening of holding of the budget session from 2nd March to 13th April.
With a view to expeditiously find out the causes for rising number of accidents, the cabinet approved ‘Himachal Pradesh In-depth Study of Road Accident Scheme, 2009’.
Road accidents committees at sub-division levels would henceforth have to hold in-depth inquiries and submit their reports within a fortnight of any accident taking place within their jurisdiction and action as envisaged in the Central Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 would be taken on basis of the report, an official spokesman.
Other decision of the cabinet that met today included approval of filling up 13 post of civil judges, granting approval to adopt a policy for dealing with encroachment cases related to construction of religious shrines on govnerment lands, enlisting 37 herbal and aromatic species under development and regulation laws for encouraging their cultivation, increasing the capital base of Mahila Vikas Nigam from Rs 5 to 10 crore and opening of a PWD zonal office at Hamirpur.
