Dalhousie Public School Principal distributes certificates to Chennai Students

Chamba: Youth Hostel Dalhousie had organized a three day trekking camp for the students of Sri Vidhya Academy International Residential School from Chennai. The students trekked through the virgin forests around Dalhousie.

G.S.Dhillon Chairman cum Principal of Dalhousie Public School was the chief guest at the valedictory function of this trekking camp. After distributing certificates to the trekkers, Dhillon advised the students to fix up their aim in life at this stage itself and work from now on to achieve your goal. “Luck comes disguised in hard work, hence always believe in hard work and do not try for short cuts in life. I hope the tranquil atmosphere of Dalhousie would have refreshed your mind and body and will encourage you to take up such trekking activities in future. I was very much impressed by the Guard of honour that you gave and your march past.”

S.Muthukrishnan, Principal of the academy said that their school was recognized by the Cambridge University and the students take up the “International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)”. This syllabus is offered by very few schools in India. The school concentrates in the overall development of the student and this trekking was organized as part of a confidence building activity in the minds of the students. The students presented a folk dance of Tamilnadu.

The following girls presented the folk dance Prathme, Akila, Megna, Vanmathee, Parkavi, Mansa, Akshaya, Gayathri, Atulya, and Aishwarya.

Abishek and Vishnu presented a break dance. Dr.Nanjil Kennedy, Chairman of the School presented a momento to Dr. Dhillon. Administrative officer of the school Mahalakshmi Roy, retired District employment officer of Chamba also participated in the function
