One arrested for rape of minor

Shimla: The police have arrested 34 year old Ram Singh of Mallah Deora, Poanta Sahib on charges of having raped a minor on Sunday evening.
“The minor girl in only four and a half years old,” said Mathura Dass, of Boileuganj police station.
Mother of the girl, who lives in a village close to Tara Devi temple on the outskirts of Shimla, spotted the crime against the minor when she was to give the girl her evening bath.
On questioning the child, the minor disclosed that Ram Singh, who was living in the neighbourhood was responsible for the rape.
The girl who was a frequent visitor to the neighbours house owned by one Jai Dev Sharma, an Himachal roadways employee.
Ram Singh also and Himachal roadways employee used to live with Jai Dev but on Sunday evening the house owner was not at home.
On Sunday evening the girl came visiting and the culprit took advantage of the situation, Dass said. “Ram Singh has been arrested for the crime,” he said.
