Himachal government overhauls IAS, IPS and HAS transfers

Shimla: Post-elections, in a major overhaul, the Himachal government has transferred 29 IAS officers, 14 HAS officers and 9 police officers, which included 5 district magistrates and the director of public relations.
The government transferred the deputy commissioners of Kangra, Kullu, Bilaspur, Chamba and Shimla.
The five deputy commissioners changed include JS Rana, DC Bilaspur who has been reverted back to Shimla, a post he held before the Lok Sabha elections and replaces incumbent Amar Singh Rathore who has been posted as Director, Food and Civil Supplies
Nandita Gupta, special secretary finance has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner Bilaspur.
KK Pant, the deputy commissioner Kangra at Dharamshala stands transferred as public finance and public enterprises-cum-secretary finance and RS. Gupta, Director, Food and Civil Supplies has been appointed as the new DC of Kangra.
Davesh Kumar director IT has been transferred as DC Chamba in place of Munish Garg who has been posted as director social justice and empowerment.
DC Kullu, Sudha Devi has been posted as special Secretary, education and BM Nanta, Mission Director, National Rural Health Mission has been posted as the new DC, Kullu.
BD Sharma, additional director of public relations had been made director public relations, a position he held earlier also. JR Katwal, the outgoing DPR who also was a special secretary in the chief minister officer has been transferred and made director Ayurveda, a government notification stated.
Subhashish Panda, has been made Director, Urban Development and Town and Country Planning.
Chief electoral officer Anil Khachi has been given additional charge as secretary food, civil supplies and consumer affairs.
Madhu Bala Sharma, Secretary, Urban Development has been posted as Special Secretary, Technical Education.
Among the nine police officers promoted and transferred is B Kamal Kumar who has been promoted as additional director general police (Law and order).
AN Sharma, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation has been given additional charge as IG (Intelligence).
Seven IPS officers Rithwik Rudra, Rakesh Aggarwal, S.Z.H. Zaidi, Satinder Pal Singh, N.Venugopal, G.D. Bhargava and Shiv Pal Singh have been promoted to the rank of DIG.
Prem Thakur, SP (CID), Shimla has been posted as SP, Solan. Santosh Ptial, SP (Vigilance) Dharamshala has been posted as SP of Una.
