Shimla: Keeping in view the sanitation campaign in Himachal Pradesh, the sate government has decied to celebrate Swachata Week from 1st to 7th April, 2009, revealed Dr. Srikant Baldi in a meeting.
In association with I&PH, Health, Education, Social Justice and Empowerment and other departments April 1st will be observed as School Sanitation Day:Swachta Prehri Divas, April 2nd (IEC) Media Day, Soochna Evam Shiksha Divas, April 3rd -Devta Day : Swach Vatavaran Divya Vatavaran Divas, April 4th -Water Purification Day: Swach Pani Swasth Samaj Divas, April 5th -Commitment Day: Sankalp Divas (Gram Sabha Day), April 6th -Anganwadi Sanitation (include other public buildings): Balgopal Divas, April 7th -Culmination Day (World Health Day) Vyaktigat Swachta Vaishvik Swachta Divas.
Raised in Shimla and originally from Mandi district, Disha wears many caps which includes being part of a lead team of a fast growing IT company based out of Chandigarh. Earlier Disha was associated with My Himachal and visits Shimla regularly.
