Himachal Tourism to set up Herbal Gardens in open land

Shimla: With a view to provide additional facilities and attractions to the visiting tourists and to create healthy atmosphere within the existing tourist complexes, Himachal Tourism will set-up Herbal Gardens in all the open land. For this, Herbal Projects will be prepared with the help of Ayurveda Department and will be sent to the Government of India for their approval.
This was disclosed by Mrs. Manisha Nanda, Secretary (Tourism) today while presiding over the joint meeting of Officers of Department of Tourism and HPTDC in Peterhof in respect of execution of various tourism projects which are already in the pipe-line. She stated that Green House concept with low-cost technology will soon be experimented in the Palace Hotel Complex, Chail and Barog in Solan districts in which varities of vegetables and flowers will be grown.
Secretary (Tourism) also evaluated the progress of various tourism projects being executed in all the tourist destinations in the State and set-up the time schedules for their early completion. These projects include Wayside Amenities, Integrated Tourist Reception Centers, Car Parking, Repair and renovations of Hotels, development of Parks and trekking routes, beautification- landscaping and renovations of numbers of tourist destinations in Himachal.
