Luminous Tele Infra heads towards Himachal with 150 cr plant

Shimla: Luminous future for Una, Himachal Pradesh, with Luminous Tele Infra’s, an SAR Group subsidiary, 150 crore project for producing telecom batteries, power management units and conversion devices. Company’s Director, Paresh Pradhan, said,

“We will be having battery manufacturing capacity of one billion amperes per hour and power management devices with a capacity of 50,000 units per annum in our new facility, which is coming up at Una in HP,”

The target turnover from this project is assumed to be Rs. 400-500 crore by the year 2009-10.

The project is being financed by promoter’s equity, term loans and four per cent stake by IFCI Venture Capital Funds, as revealed by Pradhan to Business Standard.

The flagship business, Luminous Power Technologies, with a pan India presence, is one of India’s leading manufacturers and marketers of power technology products and appliances.
