Congress meeting goes peacefully

KUMARHATTI:The Kasauli Constituency Congress Committee meeting at Dharampur, 4-km from here, that was expected to be a stormy one, went peacefully today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Kaul Singh Thakur, HPCC President. There were rumours that the meeting could bring forward the rift in party workers and counter complaints galore. But the things went quite peacefully with party workers seemed united.
The rift in party was seen as a major reason in losing the Kasauli seat to BJP in last assembly poll.
However contrary to all expectations the workers showed unity before Mr. Thakur and decided to work in a combined unit for coming Parliament poll. The meeting was also the start of Mr. Thakur campaign to visit all 68 constituencies in state keeping in mind the upcoming Parliamentary election.
During meeting Mr. Thakur have taken stock of party activities in Kasauli constituency .He gave away necessary guidelines to party workers for strengthening the party prospectus in Parliament poll. He also analyzed the functions of party poll booth committees besides giving directions to facilitate the party propaganda at grass root level.
