Himachal bags National Award for Green Environment

Shimla: Former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, presented ‘Diamond State Award‘ to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal for being number one state in the country to protect Environment and Increase the Green Cover in the area.
IBN news channel and Outlook magazine partnered for the Diamond State awards and in a National-Level-Survey adjudged this Award to Himachal Pradesh at a function held at New Delhi.
Commenting on the award, Prof. Dhumal said that global warming is the most critical issue which can be overcome by only environmental protection and increase in green cover.
